CHERCHEUR EN HISTOIRE DE L’ART MODERNE

Chercheur au sein du projet LexArt depuis octobre 2014, Élodie Cayuela est doctorante en histoire de l’art moderne à l’université Paul-Valéry – Montpellier III. Elle est chargée de l’analyse de textes anglais, tels que ceux de Jonathan Richardson. Ses recherches de thèse portent sur la comparaison du portrait en France et en Grande-Bretagne au XVIIIe siècle, et plus particulièrement sur les aspects théoriques et pratiques de ce genre pictural. Elle dispose d’un contrat doctoral LexArt jusqu’en septembre 2017, et réalise sa thèse sous la direction de Michèle-Caroline Heck.


Reseacher in the LexArt project since October 2014, Elodie Cayuela is a Phd student in modern art history at University Paul Valéry – Montpellier III. She is in charge of the analysis of English texts, such as those of Jonathan Richardson. Her Phd research focuses on the comparison of theoretical and practical aspects of portrait painting in France and Great-Britain during the 18th century. Her research is founded by a LexArt doctoral contract until September 2017, and is conducted under the supervision of Pr. Michèle-Caroline Heck.
